About me
Creative since 2002

For as long as I can remember, one thing has consistently driven me: a deep fascination with learning. Over the years, this curiosity evolved into a wide range of hobbies and a continuous pursuit of new knowledge and skills.
Whether through hands-on projects or exploring unfamiliar topics, I’m always looking for the next opportunity to expand what I know and what I can do.
Now I still follow the passion of learning new skills. I’m currently studying Mechatronics, combining it with work, sports, and time with friends.
Next to Mechatronics, I completed a minor in Entrepreneurship. Here, I focused on improving my explaining, pitching, and presenting skills. It also boosted my motivation to solve real-world problems and helped me better understand what people want and need.

Study
I’m currently moving into my final year of Mechatronics, specializing in product and project development. This specialisation focuses on improving skills such as team management, project efficiency, and business development.
Because the specialisation doesn’t go in-depth on a technical level, it’s combined with courses from other tracks—in my case, Control Engineering.
Throughout my study, I’ve worked on a wide range of projects that combine theory with real-world application. Whether it’s developing control systems, collaborating on product design, or troubleshooting in group settings, I’ve learned a lot about turning ideas into working systems. These experiences have helped me grow—not just technically, but also in how I communicate, plan, and adapt when things don’t go as expected.
Work
I started working at 14 as a strawberry picker at the local greenhouse. Not long after, I developed an interest in the hospitality industry.
I began as a dishwasher, but having learned to cook from my grandmother at age 8, I soon worked my way up to becoming a cook and bartender. I’ve now been part of an amazing restaurant team for six years.
In parallel, I also got into teaching and tutoring. In my fifth year of VWO, I tutored math, physics, chemistry, and biology to fellow students in my year and below.
Later, during my Mechatronics studies, I earned my CSWP SolidWorks certification.
Shortly after, I was asked to teach the certification course to the next group of students—and I’ve happily been doing that for the past two years.
Freetime
In my free time, I have three main points of focus: friends and family, sports, and projects.
With friends, I like to go out and about—taking a trip, visiting a concert, or staying in for a relaxing game night.
In contrast to the relaxing aspect of hanging out, I’m a real sports fanatic. I used to mostly play basketball. Now I go to the gym, play futsal, and do rock climbing. I recently added running to the list to work toward my goal of completing an Iron Viking – an obstacle run of 42 kilometers. So far, I’ve completed the 12 and 19 kilometer versions and I’m slowly building my way up.
Last but not least, my projects. some of which are already showcased on this site. These are mostly study-related or tied to robotics. But I also take on side projects to broaden my skill set, like building my own wooden bedframe and nightstand with built-in features like music and light control (coming soon), teaching myself basic welding, and experimenting with woodburning art and clay sculpting.
